| A brother of New York Knicks star Amare Stoudemire died in a Florida car crash Monday after the SUV he was driving slammed into the back of a trailer. Authorities are still investigating and awaiting test results to find out if alcohol was a factor. The Florida Highway Patrol said 35-year-old Hazell Stoudemire was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

| Los Angeles coach Mike Brown has been suspended one game without pay and fined $25,000 for making contact with a game official and failure to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection in Saturday's game. The NBA announced the suspension Monday. Brown will miss Monday's game in Philadelphia against the 76ers.

Baron Davis revealed that he stopped his workouts because of an infection in his right elbow.
